Maintain your home: what you can do to keep it stunning

If you are renting your property, or thinking of buying a property in Bangkok for rental income, it's important to realise that you will need to do regular maintenance on your property to keep it looking nice for the next tenant.

This includes regularly repainting walls every 2-3 years if not more, and allowing a budget to replace items of loose furniture as they get old and worn out.

A good rule of thumb is to allow a lifespan of around 5-10 years for all furniture items. I would suggest that you keep 1 month of the rental income each year specifically for replacing worn out items and repainting.
